BabyFace is an 8-year-old former street cat with FIV (the feline equivalent to HIV). He has a compromised immune system and frequently shows symptoms of failure to thrive. He became an inside cat several years ago when he developed a large open wound on his upper back that took surgeries, drainage, and weeks of recovery time to fully heal.

A few weeks ago he again had an unexplained open wound on his shoulder that was deep enough to see muscle. This is the third time this has happened. It was at least the size of a quarter.
