Some health challenges began after serving in the Vietnam War. When I came back from Vietnam, I was eventually sent to Walter Reed Hospital since I had been part of the “Dust Off Unit.” Here, I was assigned to ambulance detail. By now it was in the early 1970’s.

When I was in the back of the ambulance, we knelt down in those days. Without warning, the ambulance took a turn and I got swung around in the back and hit one of the oxygen spickets. It hit my spine between L4 and L5. They had to take me to the hospital and at first, I was temporarily paralyzed.

This back injury gave me problems for years. The Veterans Administration (VA) declared me 60% disabled as a result. I had limped on my left side because a nerve was affected. Without knowing, smoking had also deteriorated my bones. But I stopped smoking in 1993 and haven’t smoked since.

SINCE STARTING ON X2O WATER, I have had no pain or discomfort! I joined Xooma Worldwide in 2011. It took me some time to realize that I no longer had back problems – it had all gone away!

Here was another issue I had been battling. By the early 1980’s, I had been suffering from significant acid reflux, so they put me on 20 mg of acid reflux medicine daily. It had gotten so bad that I couldn’t sleep from the acid burn I was feeling. I had to put my bed on an angle so I wouldn’t choke. I couldn’t eat after 8pm because it would trigger acid reflux.

I had taken the acid reflux medication for so long that it had caused serious problems with my health. I had to go to the Emergency Room twice because I was bleeding internally. Over time, I realized that I had suffered from a long list of side effects from using this acid reflux medication, some of which included: back, leg and stomach pain; painful sores on the lips; joint pain; loss of appetite; painful muscle and leg cramps; irritated eyes; unusual tiredness and weakness and more. I found that ALL of these were caused by prolonged use of the acid reflux medication. So I stopped taking it.

Again, I joined Xooma during the summer of 2011. It was at that time that Linda had her cancer surgery. However, just before that I had dropped a ladder on my shoulder. I waited until after she had surgery to get it checked.

They prescribed physical therapy. During physical therapy, I felt like my shoulder was going to slip out of place. They sent me for an MRI and found that I had torn my rotator cuff. I saw a specialist but it turned out to be more than expected.

In October 2011, I finally went in for surgery. They told me I wasn’t going to be able to move my hand for about 2 or 3 weeks. I believe it’s because I drank the X2O (alkaline) water and took KardiaXyme, after they did the surgery I didn’t take any of the pain medications they gave me. And the next day I was up and walking around the house, out of the sling and moving my hand and fingers. I continued drinking the X2O water.

I went back to physical therapy the first two weeks in November. I told the people at physical therapy that I was ready to go back to work. He said that I would have to let it heal, so I said okay.

Full healing after this type of surgery usually takes 3 to 4 months. Nevertheless, I went back to work in December, only a month and a half after having the surgery! At that time, I was taking X2O, KardiaXyme and FocusUP. Since then I have added Berry Balance, Coral Calcium and Joint Health.

The great news is I haven’t had a back problem since (after suffering with back pain since before getting married)! I attribute it to Xooma’s products.
